Description

Leistung Auto are excited to offer for sale a pristine example of Porsche's inimitable 928 GT.This beautiful example has covered a little under 94000 miles and has an impressive history file. With up to date stamps within its original Porsche Service Booklet this car has wanted for nothing.Finished in Grand Prix White with Black Leather Upholstery with White piping this 928 GT is totally original example.Sitting on its original Unmarked design 90 Alloy wheels this archetypal Front Engined Grand Tourer is a further evolution of the 928 concept and further validates how Porsche got this design so right back in 1978.With subtle facelifts over the years the supposed successor to the 911(that is another story!)was given another lease of life in 1989 with the introduction of the 928 GT.Those not familiar with the evolution of the 928 range will find it hard to tell the difference between the GT and the less powerful S4, but a closer look shows that this car has a twin tailpipe exhaust and slightly wider alloy wheels shod with 225/50ZR16 tyres at the front and 245/45ZR16 rubber on the back.As the wheels are an inch wider than the S4,and spacers extend the rear track by an extra 0.7in, Porsche had to modify the wheel-arches to make room for the fatter footwear. Other GT-only modifications include a limited-slip differential with a locking ratio of 40 percent, a reinforced final drive, stiffer springs, tauter dampers and a shorter gearlever. The 928 GT develops 330bhp at 6200rpm,maximum torque is 311Ib ft at 4100 RPM.0-60 is achieved in 5.5 seconds(Thats 0.3 seconds quicker than a Testarossa.)Top speed is 174 MPH(On track or Autobahn obviously).A true Grand Tourer and a testament to Porsche getting it right in the 70s(The 928 was ECOTY in 1978)the example we have for sale at Leistung drives and performs as it should and would be a superb addition to any collectors garage as well as the perfect companion for a trip to the Le Mans Classic this year. Please contact us for further details on this important part of Porsche history.
